Frequently Asked Questions

When are you open?

Is a referral necessary ?

No, however you may have been referred by another practitioner. In this case please bring your referral with you.

What can I expect from an appointment?

Appointments are generally 30 minutes, however they are sometimes longer depending on your condition. In your session the physiotherapist will both assess you and provide treatment. This involves the physiotherapist asking a series of questions and performing a physical examination. A diagnosis will be provided along with a prognosis. Treatment will then be undertaken.

What clothes should I wear?

Comfortable loose clothing that allows free movement for the physiotherapist to assess you. In certain cases the physiotherapist will request you to remove your shirt or trousers (please ensure you wear underwear) in order to assess you. A gown is provided if required.

Should I bring my investigation (i.e. X-rays) with me?

Yes. This will assist the physiotherapist in making a scientific diagnosis.

How many sessions will I require?

This is a difficult question to answer as every case is different. However after the first session the physiotherapist will attempt to outline a treatment plan. In each follow-up session the physiotherapist will review this plan and discuss options depending on the outcomes. A referral to a specialist can be organized if required.

Is payment requirement?

Payment is required at the time of each consultation. We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard. We have HICAPS facility available so ensure you bring you private health fund card with you.
