Yoga is a gentle form of exercise which will assist in increase of muscle strength, tone & length, improve flexibility, enhance physical balance, regulate blood pressure, control & reduce stress, encourage a healthy lifestyle and many more!

Our beginner course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of Yoga and give you a firm foundation behind the Yoga poses.

Katrina Smith is a Sivananda internationally qualified Yoga teacher offering Yoga classes at ADJUST. Her Yoga classes are very welcoming, supportive, gentle and non-competitive. All classes, suitable for both beginners and general Yoga students, incorporate Yoga exercise (asana)to work on all parts of the body; proper relaxation (savasana) to release tension in the muscles, rejuvenate the nervous system and still the mind; and Yogic breathing exercises (pranayama) to increase your oxygen and prana intake and correct improper breathing habits.

Walk-out balanced, energised and relaxed…Taking the first step to try Yoga for the first time can be daunting. Many people think they need to be flexible to begin Yoga. No… you can start as you are!Specific conditions can be treated such as:

\ muscular & emotional tension           \ joint pain & stiffness
\ headaches                                                 \ digestive & respiratory disorders
\ anxiety & depression                            \ stress-related conditions
\ backache                                                   \ frozen shoulder / carpel tunnel
\ insomnia

Some of the other general rewards  of Yoga are:
\ enhance physical balance and range of movement of the body
\ heal injuries and illnesses
\ bring energy into the body (whereas other forms of physical exercise expel   energy out of the body)
\ normalise weight
\ regulate blood pressure
\ control and reduce stress to enhance emotional well-being
\ enhance confidence and self-esteem
\ improve concentration and focus
\ encourage healthy lifestyle
\ develop patience and compassion with ourselves and others

Yoga exercise can be compared to no other system of exercise in that it conditions and harmonises the entire being. The effort to find the time for regular Yoga practice is worth it.
